Clean power inspired by nature

Scientists have begun research into producing clean energy by imitating photosynthesis,  the process which occurs in leaves that generates energy for plants and trees. Researchers at Imperial College London have begun a £1 million study called the “artificial leaf”. The project aims to model a new generation of clean power on the system used in leaves which converts water and carbon dioxide into sugar using sunlight.
