COP15 Bristol
Strategy, sustainability, technology and food are some of the topics covered in Bristol’s own COP15 being held in the Arnolfini building with live links to Copenhagen. Organised by The Converging World, this series of free events will be held in tandem to the UN Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen between the 7th and 18th December.

As leaders of nations across the world gather in Copenhagen with the aim of reaching an agreement on targets for rising to the challenges posed by climate change, people from Bristol are gathering to discuss what can be done locally.
Today’s discussions held on the 3rd floor centred around the subject of food, covering how to grow your own; what to forage; the state of the organic food market; and what is needed to build Bristol’s sustainable food strategy. Speakers included co-author of the Selfsufficientish Bible Andy Hamilton and founder of The Better Food Shop Phil Haughton.
Tomorrows focus of the discussions will be the natural environment and participants are invited to submit questions for Friday’s question time where a panel of major players in the city’s green scene will give their responses and views. Workshops, discussions and seminars will continue throughout the two week duration of the COP15 summit, you can find the programme of events on the Climate 350 website.
