Filming at COP15
Back To The Planet have spent the last few days filming contributors from the SW in Copenhagen who are participating in different ways to COP15. Contributors to our community film have traveled to Copenhagen as activists, speakers, workshop leaders and campaigners. All wish for the same outcome for the talks taking place inside the Bella Centre which are due to finish on Friday – Climate Justice. This was the message from many of the participants to The Flood – a march of an estimated 100,000 people which took place on Saturday.

Our team prepare the kit for filming the march by our bus.
Back To The Planet walked the 7km from Parliament Square to the Bella Centre filming a number of contributors who have traveled from Bristol and the South West to take part in actions around the city of Copenhagen in order to put pressure on the decision makers as they thrash out a new agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol.

100,000 people gather in Parliament Square as they prepare to march.
We have filmed Christian Aid supporters who have cycled from Bristol to Copenhagen; Oxfam campaigners; Desmond Tutu; activists developing the Bike Bloc which is due to demonstrate in a mass action tomorrow; the Archbishop of Canterbury; speakers at Klimaforum09 and many more. It has been four days of action as people from all over the world have gathered in the Danish capital to take part in this extraordinary event.
We filmed Chief Almir yesterday as he visited the Klimaforum09 to give us an update on his campaign against illegal logging in the Amazon Rainforest. Due to his growing recognition around the world, Chief Almir was photographed and interviewed by many others as they captured comments from this man who has recently be named among the top 100 most influential people in Brazil.

We will be leaving Copenhagen this afternoon for the long drive back and hope to post some footage from the film in the next few days.
