Free accommodation in Copenhagen
The people of Copenhagen are opening their doors to those attending the Climate Change Summit to offer free accommodation and increase the number of beds (and sofas) available in the city. The initiative – New Life Copenhagen is organised by the art group Wooloo Productions along with a team of volunteers and other contributors.
To qualify as a host, residents must live within a maximum of 1 hour public transport time to Copenhagen, have access to bathroom and be happy for one or more guests stay for at least 2 days in December. New Life Copenhagen is supported by the Danish Arts Council, People’s Climate Action and the City of Copenhagen.
So far, 3003 people have been hosted through the scheme, Back To The Planet is also using New Life Copenhagen to find accommodation for our production team whilst we are filming at the summit.
Watch this video to find out more information or visit the New Life Copenhagen website to find a host or offer to host others in your house.
