Video advertising in magazines
American company patent battery powered video ads which can be inserted into magazines. Americhip video adverts are 2.7 millimeters thick, have a 320×240 resolution and can be recharged when the battery fades after around 65 minutes. The new technology is being used by American television channel CBS who will be announcing next seasons program line up in partnership with PepsiCo. Americhip specialise in multi sensory advertising and their digital print technology has been taken up by multinational companies in the ever present advertising battle for consumer loyalty.
The Video-In-Print also allows users to download content directly from the internet using a mini usb lead. Each ad can handle about 40 minutes of video, an example of a printed video can be seen below and a video is available on YouTube.
