AEA training video

AEA Environmental Consultancy engaged Back To The Planet to produce a training video aimed at farmers to provide advice on how they should approach their 2010 Soil Protection Review on behalf of Defra and Natural England. The video is accessed through the Cross Compliance website which provides information and support to landowners and farmers on how to comply with statutory requirements set out by Defra.

AEA provided us with a script and presenter, Simon Draper, a leading expert in agronomy, who demonstrated soil assessment on camera. From what appeared to be a very straightforward piece the production threw up many challenges not the least of which was the heavy snow fall and icy conditions of early 2010. This limited our opportunities of capturing scenic shots of farmland, but the resulting video is accessible, clear and informative, providing guidance on important soil assessment techniques to allow farmers to comply with legal requirements.
