Ex-BBC, Alan is the driving force behind Back To The Planet with wide ranging direction and production skills, both practical and creative.

After working for the BBC and various production companies for 10 years, his decision to launch Back to the Planet came after working on Springwatch with Bill Oddie and Kate Humble.

Realising the potential of using film and the media to highlight ethical and conservation issues, Alan created a company that is ethically driven, environmentally focused and passionate about making films and documentaries with these genres. Alan’s passion is the natural world.
